Ceramic lining
Alubit (ceramic) lining is produced in the form of bricks and tiles of various sizes and shapes. Ceramic lining bricks are mainly intended for lining the inner surface of mills, cyclones, tumbling machines, furnaces, and other equipment that is subject to wear.
The lining brick is glued to the walls with a special adhesive. After gluing the bricks, the equipment must stand for a certain period of non-operation in order for the adhesive to dry well. In addition, a lock is located on the side of the lining alubite brick, which securely fixes the bricks to each other and prevents the destruction of the ceramic lining as a whole.
The lining of mills and other equipment prevents abrasion of the walls that come into contact with the abrasive material and extends the life of ball mills, cyclones and other equipment.
Alubite (ceramic) lining bricks are made from alumina. The content of aluminum oxide in alubite products is at least 92%, the hardness on the Mohs scale is 9 (for comparison, the hardness of diamond is 10), which makes it possible to use alubite with many highly abrasive materials.
Ceramic (alubite) lining is used in combination with alubit (ceramic) balls. In practice, it has been found that the maximum performance of a ball mill is achieved when using alubite grinding balls in combination with an alubite lining. Use of other lining materials such as metal plates, rubber, silicon pebbles, etc. not effective for many reasons, here are a few of them:
1. Deterioration of the chemical composition of the finished product - iron grinding.
2. Reduced productivity due to the low hardness of the lining material, as a result - an increase in the cost of finished products.
