This is a ceramic grinding bead based on zirconium silicate. Available in different grades, It is well suited to large volumes and vertical mills, while it is an enhanced version designed for use in horizontal mills.It is an ideal replacement for glass, improving productivity and cost effectiveness. The polished surface ensures low mill wear.
Available in small bead sizes on a large scale, ER120 is well known for its high performance in volume production of mineral pigments and fillers. Grinding of minerals like TiO2 or CaCO3 to the right particle size distribution (including narrow distribution and very small D50) is possible with the correct selection of the ER120 bead size. The smooth surface of ER120 limits energy losses due to the reduced bead-to-bead friction, making it more cost effective than natural sand, for instance.
